This is my space to share my thoughts on innovative news gathering, awesome writing, excellent editing, sensational storytelling and the churning and changing world of journalism and journalism education.

I’ve been reporting and writing all my life. I spent seven years studying the craft in college, 20 years practicing it in newsrooms and 11 years teaching it to students. The specifics are in my CV, my UNL bio and this story (page 14) in J News.
